Little Popcorn Store Trivia #3
When E. Clair Brown started the Little Popcorn Store in 1921, was it located in it's present location or a different location?
The answer actually surprises even long-time Wheaton residents. Back in 1921, Brown set up his shop a few doors down from the Popcorn Store's current location. It was in an even smaller (can you imagine) alleyway-turned-building that measured 3.5 feet wide by 30 feet long. It was wedged between a barber shop and a livery stand. It wasn't until 1935 (14 years later) that he moved to our present location at 111 1/4 Front Street.
